April 26 will mark 25 years since the killing of local 15-year-old Kristy Leigh Yates, but FBI Little Rock opened a federal case in 2020, and have now released information that Yates's killer(s) may reside in Arkansas.

Yates was last seen at the Hot Springs Mall on April 25, 1997, before her remains were found the following day near Sleepy Valley Road.

The FBI is asking the public for help on uncovering new information, and have posted a $25,000 reward leading to an arrest and conviction of the killer(s).

If you have any information concerning this case, contact the FBI Little Rock at 501-221-9100, or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
