The first Gallery Walk of 2023 is today, with an entire year full of growth ahead for the local arts community.
A couple of new things to check out in the coming Gallery Walk are hand-poured candles from 501 Candle Company and The Art Entity.
501 Candle Company sells candles created by local artist Gladys Hernandez. Each candle has local hand-picked crystals embedded in its wax and poured into a unique concrete base. No candle is the same, except in its fragrant smell. The candles will be sold at Wrapped Gift Boutique, alongside work from local artist Allison Parsons.
The Art Entity is holding three winter markets for Gallery Walk, with today being its second. Previously the Low-Key Arts building, the building at 118 Arbor St. is now The Club House. The Art Entity inside this growing art hub invites local artists to come and feature their work. Including an open mic, a bar with refreshments and tarot readings, The Art Entity is quickly becoming a lively addition to Gallery Walk.

Gallery Walk, which has been running since 1989, is held from 5-9 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. Galleries throughout downtown Hot Springs will keep their doors open later than usual, offering refreshments, featured artists and entertainment.
