Hot Springs named 10th 'Small Town Comeback Destination' post pandemic
Hot Springs was named 10th in the country's "Top 10 Small Town Travel Destinations" after being Googled 45,510 times from March to April in 2021, according to RENTCafé Blog, an apartment-related information source that tracks travel patterns.
The recent search results were 307% higher than March to April in 2020, when it was only Googled 11,670 times.
"After more than a year of travel restrictions, people are longing for a well-deserved getaway," a RENTCafé spokesperson said in an email on Thursday. "Google searches for travel destinations in the U.S. went up a whopping 224% in March and April 2021 compared to the same time last year.
"Most destinations made a full rebound, reaching or exceeding pre-pandemic levels — and we’re happy to let you know that Hot Springs is one of them!"
