Library seeks community partners for National Library Card Sign-Up Month
The following is a news release by the Garland County Library.

Every September, libraries across the nation celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month, an initiative of the American Library Association that aims to increase library awareness and community use. This year, the Garland County Library will do just that by partnering with local businesses to offer a discount to library card holders throughout September.
Currently, the library is seeking business participants for “Show Me Your Library Card." The discount offered is up to each business individually and can be anything from 5% off to BOGO to a free small trinket per visit.
Erin Baber, GCLibrary Marketing Manager said, “our neighbors at the Saline County Library have been offering a discount program like this for several years with great success. We wanted to offer our community something similar - an extra reward just for having a library card.”
The library is seeking business partners in all kinds of industries.
“I’d love to include some salons, car mechanics and other service-oriented businesses in the community in addition to the wonderful local restaurants and attractions we have in Hot Springs,” Baber said.
The deadline for businesses to participate is July 31. More information can be found at gclibrary.com or by emailing marketing@gclibrary.com.
